FJ Kart Ltd. ("we", "us") operates the online store at www.fjkart.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

• Correspondence — the content of emails or messages you send us

• Usage data — pages viewed, items viewed, time on site, referring website

2. Why we collect it

We use your personal information to process and fulfil your orders (including delivery and in-store pickup), send order confirmations, shipping notices and invoices, respond to your questions and provide support, process returns, refunds and warranty claims, meet legal and tax obligations including records required by the Canada Revenue Agency, detect and prevent fraud, and improve our website and product range.

We rely on your consent to send marketing email. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message, or by emailing us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect transactional messages about orders you have placed.

3. Payment information

We do not collect or store your full card number. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, which handles card data directly under its own security standards. We receive only limited information, such as the last four digits of the card, the card type, and whether the payment succeeded.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as necessary to run the business:

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for third-party advertising. Some providers may process or store data outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your language preference, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the cart and checkout from working.

6. How long we keep it

• Order and transaction records — at least 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year
• Account information — until you ask us to delete your account
• Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe
• Support correspondence — up to 3 years

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to access the personal information we hold, correct it, withdraw consent to non-essential uses, and complain about how we handled it. Email support@fjkart.ca; we respond within 30 days and may verify your identity first. If unsatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to personal information, and rely on established providers for hosting and payment processing. No method is completely secure, but we will notify you and the authorities of any breach posing a real risk of significant harm, as required by law.

9. Children

Our store is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
